Becoming the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Accountancy Board is the culmination of a career across government, both municipal and state. Graduating from Oklahoma Baptist University with a degree in history and political science, Ashley had a brief stint at the Oklahoma House of Representatives as Legislative Assistant. She then landed at the Office of Management and Enterprise Services as a budget analyst in the Statewide Budget Division. There she started her foray into state finance and her CPA journey. Ashley achieved her goal of becoming a CPA in 2017 and moved to the City of Shawnee, Oklahoma, to work as the Assistant Finance Director. After three years and a promotion to Finance Director and City Treasurer, she felt the pull of the state and returned to OMES where her last position was State Chief Financial Officer.
