The NHSC program provides student loan repayment assistance to health professionals that serve in a federally designated Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA).
State program which provides student loan repayment assistance to dentists that serve in state designated Oklahoma Dental Health Professional Shortage Area.
Eligible health professionals may earn up to $75,000 for full-time and $37,500 for part-time in exchange for a two-year commitment at an NHSC-approved site. Applicants fluent in a second language could qualify for an additional $5,000.

Eligible health care providers providing services SUD treatment services in rural communities may earn up to $100,000 for full-time and $50,000 for part-time in exchange for at least a three-year commitment at a rural NHSC-approved SUD treatment facility.
Eligible health care providers practicing with evidenced-based treatment models to treat substance use disorders may earn up to $75,000 for full-time and $37,500 for part-time in exchange for at least a three-year commitment at a NHSC-approved SUD treatment facility.
Eligible students in the last year of medical, nursing, or dental school may earn up to $120,000 of loan repayment in exchange for a three-year commitment at a NHSC-approved facility.
Eligible health care providers working full-time at STAR LRP-approved facilities may earn up to $250,000 in exchange for a six-year commitment at their facility.
Eligible health care providers may earn up to $100,000 in exchange for a full-time three year commitment at a Pediatric Specialty LRP-approved treatment facility.
Nurse practitioners, registered nurses and nurse faculty who are working in Critical Shortage Facilities (CSF) and/or an eligible nursing school may earn up to 85% of unpaid nursing education debt in exchange for at least a two-year service obligation.
A CSF is a public or private health care facility located in, designated as, or serving a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA). Review the Application and Program Guidance for a full list of eligible facilities.
Scholarship Programs for Health Care Providers From HRSA
Eligible health care professions full-time students may earn scholarships for up to four years covering tuition, fees, reasonable educational costs and a monthly stipend in exchange for a two to four-year commitment at a NHSC-approved facility upon graduation.
Eligible full-time nursing students accepted or enrolled at an accredited school of nursing pursing the below nursing programs may earn scholarships covering tuition, fees, other educational costs, and a monthly stipend in exchange for at least a two-year commitment at a Critical Shortage Facility upon graduation.

Scholarship and Loan Repayment Programs for Health Care Services in Higher Education
Faculty at eligible health professions schools may earn up to $40,000 in exchange for two-year serve commitment at an eligible health professions school.
Loan program for schools and education institutions are eligible for HPSL, once funded they can then offer students pursuing health professions degrees these loans

Facility types with federal regulative authority, like American Indian Health Services (HIS) or Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), do not require the full application for the NHSC and can join at any time throughout the year. Other site types with state regulatory bodies, like outpatient behavioral health facilities or state prisons are eligible but must complete the application during the application cycle.
Use of the NPDB is required in sites’ credentialing procedures. It was established by Congress in 1986. The NPDB prevents licensed providers from moving state to state without disclosing a damaging practice performance.
