License Renewal

All license renewals, requests to inactivate, and requests to retire a license, are now processed through the Board's on-line portal. You may begin your renewal at any time. However, your renewal submission period will open 60 days prior to your expiration date. You will not be able to submit your renewal until your submission period opens. When activating your account you must use the email address you filed with the Board. If you do not receive the temporary password it is most likely because you are not using the email address on file with the Board.

The Board’s office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please note: the Board’s office will be closed on all holiday's recognized by the State.

Portal Assistance:

When using the “Forgot Password” feature ensure all boxes on the sign in page are blank and click “Forgot Password”.  Next, enter in your email then click reset password.  The temporary password will be sent from Thentia.cloud so be sure to search your inbox and if needed your spam and junk folders as well.

Here are a few additional tips and tricks for logging into the portal:

  1. Ensure you are using all lower case letters in your email.
  2. We suggest that you use Google Chrome as your web browser.
  3. We suggest that you copy and paste the temporary password you receive to avoid typos.
  4. Ensure the email account is active and is the same as the account on file with the Board.

Please note, the temporary password is only active for 5 minutes, if not used in that time you have to request a new temporary password.

For additional assistance you may email the Board at info.behavioralhealth@bbhl.ok.gov

Please be aware that the answers to your security questions are case sensitive.

If you fail to correctly answer the security questions three (3) times the portal login will be disabled and you will not able to log into your account. You may request the Board unlock your account by emailing the Board at info.behavioralhealth@bbhl.ok.gov

If you fail to renew your license by the expiration date, your license will be suspended, forfeiting all right and privileges granted by the license. You have the right to reinstate the license by payment of the renewal fee, the $25.00 late renewal fee and submission of all deficient continuing education requirements. Licenses not renewed within the one (1) year renewal period shall be permanently expired and shall not be reinstated.

If you fail to renew your approved supervisor status your approved status will be suspended forfeiting the right to supervise licensees. You have the right to reinstate the approved supervisor status by submitting the deficient renewal requirements for each renewal period you failed to renew.

No re-application for a revoked approved supervisor status, as a result of administrative proceeding, shall be considered for a period of five (5) years following the revocation.

If your license is in good standing, you may place your license on inactive status by submitting a one-time $25.00 fee, and submission of your original license.  A license placed on inactive status may remain inactive for as long as you desire. You are not required to accrue continuing education or pay any additional fees while your license is inactive.

If your license is in good standing, you may retire your license. A retired license cannot be reinstated but it does not prevent an individual from applying for a new license in the future.

If your license was voluntarily inactivated and you would like to reactivate your license you may do so by contacting the Board at info.behavioralhealth@bbhl.ok.gov.

Please provide your name, license type, and the date you wish to reactivate.  The Board will activate your portal account and provide additional instructions. The reactivation fee is prorated and the payment is completed in the licensee portal. You will not be able to access the licensee portal until the Board has activated your account.

If your license is retired, a retired license cannot be reinstated. However, it does not prevent an individual from applying for a new license in the future.
