LBP Initial Renewal
Deadlines:
Your Licensed Behavioral Practitioner (LBP) license first renewal is due exactly 2 years after it was issued — on the last day of that month. To avoid a late penalty, you need to submit your complete renewal paperwork by that expiration date, not after. You can find both your original issue date and your expiration date in your portal account and printed on your wallet-sized license card.
Requirements:
- To renew your license, you need to complete 20 hours of continuing education courses.
- Those 20 hours have to be earned sometime between when your license was first issued and when it expires — not before or after.
- For your initial renewal, you do not need to include any specific hours dedicated to ethics training.
