This year The Experimental Aircraft Association will celebrate the 31st annual International Young Eagles Day on Saturday, June 8, 2024. This is the only program of its kind, with the sole purpose to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation. There have been over 2.3 million kids who have enjoyed a free introductory flight through the Young Eagles Program. These flights are made possible through the generosity of our EAA member volunteers who donate their aircraft, time and fuel.
EAA Chapter 1098 in Shawnee is having a Young Eagles Rally on Saturday, June 8 at 9AM to provide FREE introductory flights to kids 8-17.
Also, if you are interested in more information about EAA or our Chapter, we invite you to our monthly gathering on the fourth Saturday of the month at 2:30PM. You do not need to own an airplane or be a pilot. We are open to ANYONE who loves aviation and of course having FUN. There is no obligation to join EAA.
The Young Eagles Rally and our gatherings are held at the Gordon Cooper Aviation Campus-2600 N. Airport Dr, Shawnee, OK 74801 (just North of the Shawnee Regional Airport).
