FAA Resources

The Federal Aviation Administration sets the rules for flying drones in U.S. airspace. Whether you fly for fun or for work, start here to register your drone, earn the certificate you need and check where you’re allowed to fly. Recreational flyers need to pass The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST). Commercial operators need a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, and companies carrying cargo or passengers, including drone delivery, may need Part 135 air carrier certification.
