Outreach/Advocacy

One of the Department’s primary duties is to advocate for and grow the aerospace industry within the State of Oklahoma. One of the ways the Department accomplishes this duty is by creating and supporting aerospace related legislation at the Capitol, some of which has become model legislation for other states. ODAA also helps promote the industry by hosting various events throughout the year, including AERO Oklahoma Day each spring, Women in Aviation and Aerospace Day each fall, and numerous ground breaking, project completion and fly-in events at airports across the state throughout the year.
