Starting a new business may require you to register with the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) or a different state, city or county agency.

Register a New Business

• Contact the Oklahoma Secretary of State if you intend to incorporate your business.
• Register for unemployment insurance taxes at the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission.
• Contact the county assessor's office in the county the business is located.

Nonresident Contractors must also contact:

• Oklahoma Department of Labor, Worker Compensation Division
