Gross production tax is collected on the production of oil and natural gas produced in Oklahoma. Generally, the tax is remitted to the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) on a monthly basis by the first purchaser.

Production history consists of crude oil and natural gas production volumes reported to the OTC. Production volumes are made available on a lease basis using the OTC assigned Production Unit Number (PUN). Information is only available from July 1990 forward.
