The Employees Group Insurance Division (EGID) administers, manages and provides group health, dental, life and disability insurance for current and former employees of state agencies, school districts and other governmental units of the State of Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Insurance and Benefits Board has oversight responsibility and decision-making authority to adopt policies regarding the division’s financial matters.
What is EGID?
The Employees Group Insurance Division (EGID) provides health, dental, life, disability and vision insurance to state, education and local government employees as authorized by the Oklahoma Employees Insurance and Benefits Act.
Who is Eligible?
- Education employees working at least 20 hours/week.
- State employees working at least 30 hours/week (1,000 hours/year).
- Local government employees working at least 1,000 hours/year.
- Someone elected by popular vote.
