Coordinator Training


Training opportunities for coordinators are provided throughout the year.

  • New IC Training – This is available as an online webinar and includes information from the coordinator manual and provides the basic information you need to successfully perform your duties. Phase 1 training includes eligibility rules, qualifying events and a review of all insurance benefits offered. Phase 2 includes COBRA, retirement, Aging into Medicare, and HIPAA.
  • Employer Self-Service Training – This training is strongly encouraged so you can process enrollments and eligiblity changes using EGID's Employer Self-Service application instead of mailing or faxing forms to EGID for processing.
  • Spring Training – Group Management offers annual refresher courses about frequently asked questions. This training is flexible and can be webinars, newsletters or in person. 
  • Option Period Training – Offered by group management providing training to coordinators and employees in reference to Option Period. Meetings are available by webinar or in person upon request. This training is mandatory due to the sensitive deadlines of the information provided. 

Registration for insurance coordinators is easy. Use this form to register for Phase 1, Phase 2, and Employer Self-Service training. Spring Training and Option Period training are seasonal, and registration will be provided at that time.
