Community Living, Aging and Protective Services
What We Do
Community Living, Aging and Protective Services (CAP) serves vulnerable adults and fosters strong relationships with families, agencies and community partners to improve the independence and wellbeing of vulnerable adults. We also promote feedback and collaboration in service delivery to aging Oklahomans.
We support programs and services designed to protect and preserve the safety of victims of caretaker abuse, neglect and exploitation; increase options for older adults to live safely and independently in their home; improve the stability of residents in long-term care facilities; meet basic nutritional needs of older adults; provide support for family caregivers; and increase job opportunities for adults through expanded workforce programs. CAP also provides information about Medicare eligibility and resources for families and individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
