OCCY Earns Family Positive Workplace Certification
By the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth
On June 21, 2024, the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth (OCCY) was awarded the Family Positive Workplace Certification by the Potts Family Foundation. This certification, valid from 2024 to 2026, recognizes OCCY's efforts to create a supportive environment where employees can effectively balance their work and family responsibilities.
The certificate was officially presented during OCCY's recent commission meeting. Annette Wisk Jacobi, Executive Director of OCCY, received the certificate from AJ Griffin, CEO of the Potts Family Foundation.
As a Family Positive Workplace, the agency has various supportive policies, including flexible work schedules, remote work options, family leave provisions, and other benefits to enhance its staff's and their families' well-being.
Research has shown that family-positive workplace practices reduce stress, improve overall quality of life for employees, and lead to better organizational outcomes such as increased recruitment, improved retention rates, and higher productivity. Additionally, these practices support stronger family bonds and enable employees to engage more actively in their communities.
OCCY remains dedicated to maintaining and expanding its family-positive policies to meet the evolving needs of its workforce and to continue creating a supportive environment where all employees can thrive.
