What are Intersectional Professionals?

Intersectional Professionals are individuals who have lived experience as a person directly affected by the programs, practices, or policies related to the issue areas of their work—for example, a former foster youth who works in child welfare or a former public housing resident who works at a local housing authority. Their dual professional and “lived” expertise puts Intersectional Professionals in a unique position to channel people with lived experience input into program design and policymaking.

* This event is made possible by the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth and the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
