>> SPACE IS LIMITED TO 30 PEOPLE << All participants will be required to wear a face mask regardless of vaccination status. This presentation will provide insight into how a medical evaluation of a victim of child maltreatment can help in the investigation of these cases. It will include examples of medical findings associated with physical abuse and neglect. Cases in which children have sustained abusive bruises, burns, broken bones, head trauma, and neglectful malnutrition will be discussed. How recognition of these findings can improve child safety and guide court action will be considered.
