The Friends of the Oklahoma Center for the Book is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the programs and mission of the Oklahoma Center for the Book. Through advocacy, fundraising, and volunteer efforts, the Friends help promote books, reading, authors, and literary activities throughout Oklahoma.

Since its founding, the Friends have partnered with the Oklahoma Center for the Book to sponsor literary events, recognize excellence in Oklahoma writing, and connect readers with authors and stories that enrich our communities.

The Friends play a key role in supporting programs such as the Oklahoma Book Awards, the My Favorite Book Writing Contest, Read Across Oklahoma, and other initiatives that celebrate Oklahoma's literary culture and encourage a lifelong love of reading.

Membership and donations help sustain these programs and create opportunities for readers and writers across the state.
