Read Across Oklahoma

Thank you for a wonderful Read Across Oklahoma 2025!

On March 27, 2025, young readers embarked on an exciting "Reading Safari" at the Oklahoma City Zoo for Read Across Oklahoma! The event featured Oklahoma author Tammi Sauer’s book Caring for Your Lion, bringing the story to life through interactive activities, animal encounters, and special readings by the author herself.

A huge thank you to Tammi Sauer for sharing her book and her amazing storytelling talents with the students and families who attended. We hope everyone left with unforgettable memories, a love for reading, and of course, a new book!
