The Services to Libraries division strengthens Oklahoma’s public libraries by providing resources, training, and programs that empower them to meet evolving local needs and make a lasting impact on the people they serve. Through the work of Library Development and Statewide Programs, the division administers federal funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), with over 90% of these funds directly supporting public libraries or securing statewide contracts for resources like databases and inter-library loan. Together, these teams drive innovation and collaboration across the state with large-scale, grant-funded initiatives that address critical community needs. From early literacy and digital inclusion to workforce development and civic engagement, Services to Libraries helps ensure that Oklahoma libraries deliver programs and resources that enrich lives and strengthen communities.
