NOTICES

The Board office will be closed for business July 27-31, 2026 for building maintenance.  Please make sure you plan accordingly for anything you may need from us that month.  We will not be processing mail and will process emails once we return to the office.  ALL Dentist and Dental Hygienist applications for the August 21st Board Meeting will need to be in the office no later than July 24th, 2026 (REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: Along with these applications, they MUST have the National Practitioners Data Bank and any state verification of licensures to be considered for the agenda). 

 

*ALL DENTAL ASSISTANTS MUST HAVE A PERMIT BEFORE WORKING CHAIRSIDE AS OF NOVEMBER 1, 2025.*

State Dental Act and Rules of the Board

Official

  • Official version of the State Dental Act may be obtained from the Oklahoma Supreme Court Network. (Once on OSCN, scroll to Chapter 7 in Title 59, this is the Dental Board Section.)
  • Official Rules of the Board may be found at the Office of the Secretary of State. (Once on the Secretary of State website, click the second blue title box {Board authority and purposes, composition and duties, quorum}, on the right hand side there is a blue link to view title and this will open all of the rules.)

Jurisprudence Exam Information

  • For scheduling purposes, we give you 1 hour to take the exam and there are 50 questions. 
  • Board staff cannot tell you specific things to study. You must score 70% or higher on the Exam to pass.  Should you fail the exam, you must wait 30 days before attempting it again and there is a $10 fee (by check or money order). There are no exceptions!

The Jurisprudence Exam is offered on scheduled Thursdays between 9:00a.m. - 1:00p.m. excluding major holidays at the Board Office at 2920 N Lincoln Blvd, Ste B. Oklahoma City, OK 73105..
