Domestic Violence Awareness and Response Training

This training will provide an overview of domestic violence, including what qualifies as
a domestic violence event under Oklahoma law. Instruction will focus on victim
interviewing techniques, emphasizing an empathetic and trauma-informed approach.
The course will also address domestic violence within the law enforcement profession,
including both individual officer awareness and agency-level response considerations.
Additionally, the instructor will share a personal account of domestic violence
resilience to provide real-world context and reinforce the importance of early
recognition and intervention.
