PSAC Openings

The current term for a Southwest Representative on the Private Security Advisory Committee has ended or will be ending in the near future, and applications are now being accepted to fill the vacancy. Individuals interested in serving on the Committee are encouraged to submit an application, letter of interest, and a resume for consideration. Qualified applicants must have a current security guard or private investigator license and be employed by a licensed security or investigative agency.

Per Title 59, Section 1750.1, the Committee consists of seven (7) representatives from licensed security guard and private investigative agencies: one from each state quadrant, one at-large, one selected by the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), and one selected by the Oklahoma Private Investigators Association (OPIA). Members serve three-year terms and may be reappointed once unless removed by the Council.

As outlined in 70 O.S., Β§ 3311, the Committee is tasked with promoting professional competence and integrity in the private security industry. This includes establishing and overseeing minimum employment standards for security guards and private investigators, as well as regulating private security and investigative agencies through a licensing program based on physical, mental, and moral qualifications.

If you are interested in serving as the Southwest Representative, please submit the application, a letter of interest, and a resume to CLEET, Attention: Leslie Haynie at leslie.haynie@cleet.state.ok.us by 4:30pm August 22, 2025. All applications will be reviewed by the Committee, which will select an applicant for nomination to serve. The selected nominee will then be submitted to the Council for final approval.
