OUBCC voted to begin the rulemaking process on Oklahoma Administrative Code (O.A.C.) Title 748, Chapter 20, Subchapters 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16.
Subchapters 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 14, and 16 are updates to the referenced standards of each code to address the edition year of the International Residential Code (IRC) for the adoption of the 2018 IRC, effective on September 14, 2022, where applicable.
Subchapter 10 addresses proposed rules to adopt the 2023 NEC. They also update the edition year of the National Electrical Code (NEC) to the 2023 edition.
