All applicants must submit a $35.00 fee to apply for a real estate license directly payable to Oklahoma Real Estate Commission at the time of application submission.
All applicants must also have a backgroud check processed through IdentoGO which includes a $60.00 processing fee directly payable to IdentoGO.
Exam fees are payable directly to Pearson VUE and are due before scheduling. Exam fees are due for each examination attempt.

Background checks must be scheduled online through IdentoGO. The cost of a background check is $60.00 and is remitted directly to IdentoGO. Once the in-person live-scan is completed, your fingerprints will be processed by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the results will be reported to OREC. The process usually takes 2-3 business days to complete.
You may still qualify for licensure. Felonies that may result in denial of application may include but are not limited to our approved List of Crimes. For individual review of your eligiblity, please e-mail help@orec.ok.gov .
Most applicants submit a copy of their US birth certificate or a copy of their valid US Passport as proof of citizenship.

An individual with DACA status does not meet our licensing requirements as a lawfully admitted alien. The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Department website specifically states that deferred prosecution does not provide lawful status to a DACA recipient. Receiving a social security number and card does not provide lawful status to a DACA recipient, it merely provides proof of the work authorization granted by USCIS. To be considered a lawfully admitted alien, you must have a green card or Permanent Resident card.
Completion of an approved 90-hour pre-license is valid for three years from the date of completion. Find approved courses.
Upon receipt of an online application and the required background check applicants will be processed within five business days. Paper applications will be handled secondary to online applications and may require more time for processing.
Within 48 hours after application approval the candidate will receive an e-mail from the examination vendor, Pearson VUE. The e-mail confirmation will provide access to schedule the exam online and will provide the applicant with their candidate ID number. Please monitor any spam or junk mail folders for this e-mail confirmation.

No. Oklahoma cannot issue a license of higher standing than any license currently held in another jurisdiction.
A resident license means you will be working under a brokerage that has a physical office in Oklahoma.
A non-resident license means you will be working under a brokerage that does not have a physical office in Oklahoma.
Applicants applying with an Oklahoma Sales Associate license:
Current Oklahoma Sales Associate applicants must have two (2) years’ active licensure within the previous five (5) years as a sales associate or its equivalent.
Step 1) Complete an approved 90-hour broker course. Find approved courses.
Step 2) Complete a 15 hour Oklahoma Broker in Charge course. Find approved courses.
Step 3) Submit a Change License request through the License Portal.
Step 4) Upload a Transaction Experience Waiver with your Change License request.

Broker Associate - A Broker Associate can perform the functions of a broker however is still supervised by a Broker Proprietor, Managing Broker or Branch Broker.
Broker Proprietor - A Broker Proprietor manages a proprietorship brokerage.
Managing Broker - A Managing Broker manages a business entity (LLC or Corporation) brokerage.
Branch Broker - A Branch Broker manages a branch office of a main brokerage.
