The following FEMA courses support planning efforts for cities, counties, and tribal jurisdictions.
FEMA IS-1300 Introduction to Continuity of Operations
This course is intended to lay the foundation of knowledge for students who wish to increase their understanding of continuity and building a comprehensive continuity program in their organization or jurisdiction.
Course Length: 1 hour
FEMA IS-2002: Introduction to FEMA Operational Planning
This course offers training in the fundamentals of how FEMA conducts operational planning activities. The goal of this training is to maximize planning interoperability within FEMA and the national and regional interagency and to ensure proper coordination with the state, local, and tribal planners.
Course Length: 4 hours
FEMA IS-236: Introduction to Deliberate Planning
The goal of this training is to empower the deliberate planner or planning team member to add value to the planning process within their area of subject matter expertise.
Course Length: 4.5 hours
