OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (January 13, 2026) - The Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth is accepting nominations for the 2026 Parent Leadership Awards, honoring parents who advance systems and advocate for children and families statewide.

Nominations are open to recognize parents across Oklahoma who demonstrate leadership, advocacy and service within their communities. The awards highlight parents who use their voices and lived experience to improve systems, elevate family voice and inspire positive change for children and families.

“This award is really about parents who speak up and get involved,” said Isabel Rodriguez, community planner for parent leadership programs at the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth. “They know what works, they know what does not, and they help make systems better for families across Oklahoma.”

Parent leaders play a vital role in shaping policies and practices that better serve families and communities. Through advocacy, collaboration and commitment, they help strengthen systems and build a stronger future for Oklahoma families. The Parent Leadership Awards aim to formally recognize these efforts and the lasting impact parents have across the state.

The nomination process is quick and easy to complete. Nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. CST Monday, Feb. 2, 2026. The nomination form is available at oklahoma.gov/occy/pla2026
