In this week's issue of Behind The Wheel, learn about the Motor Vehicle Call Center, nominate a teammate or team for the Second Annual Employee Awards and learn about Tanya Diaz in the Oklahoman Helping Oklahomans spotlight.
Did you know the Public Call Center achieved a 93% answer rate in June? This means more Oklahomans are getting resolutions quickly and efficiently. Additionally, Service Oklahoma recently restructured the Motor Vehicle Call Center making services and support more accessible.
The Motor Vehicle Call Center was created to reduce wait times and improve access for licensed operators and their customers with motor vehicle questions. The most popular topics for both call centers include specialty plates and titles, averaging about 800 calls per week on those two topics alone.
The Second Annual Service Oklahoma Employee Awards celebrate the individuals, teams and locations that go above and beyond service to Oklahomans and one another.
From delivering outstanding customer service to finding solutions behind the scenes, now is your chance to celebrate your trusted teammates. Nominations are due by Friday, July 31. Submit a nomination today!

As a Driver License Examiner Lead in Hinton, Tanya Diaz is particularly proud of her work with CDL licenses, ensuring accuracy every step of the way.
She believes her compassion ensures her and her team’s success. She frequently encourages drivers to keep going and not get discouraged if they failed their written or drive test.
"Compassion has always been my gift to others. I am able to show people compassion and my authentic self, allowing them to feel safe when they fail but also succeed.”
When not at work, you can find Tanya spending time with her family. She enjoys knitting baby blankets, crocheting and “sewing up a storm."
Have you seen our social media series spotlighting SOK employees? Each month, we highlight a team member whose work improves access to government services.
