Firearms Qualification and Requalification Standards

Beginning on January 26, 2008, all CLEET certified peace officers are required to meet certain standards:

Officers must attain a qualifying score of not less than seventy percent (70% or 72 points) utilizing their primary duty handgun.

Pocket card to show your completed annual firearms requalification

This card may be printed and taken to a qualified firearms instructor or other person authorized by statute or rule to administer annual peace officer firearms requalification exams to be completed. A completed card may then be carried by the person who qualified as ready evidence of the annual requalification. We strongly encourage instructors who complete these cards to maintain a record when they do so.
