Description
ASSISTING INDIVIDUALS in CRISIS is PHASE 1 of the process to become a trained “Peer Support Responder”. This course is the foundation which prepares the student to provide peer support and CISM interventions (if needed) during Individual or “1 on 1” interactions with other First Responders. The need for appropriate follow-up services and referrals post-incident, when necessary, will also be discussed during this training. This course is designed for first responders and mental health professionals who assist other first responders and their families in dealing with job-related stress and trauma. ATTENTION: Due to the frequent requests for this training, PLEASE notify us if you register for this class but your schedules change, and you are not able to attend. This allows us to contact people who may be on a “Waiting List”. Registration required: See link below.
