Oklahoma ranks first in the nation for men and women to experience domestic violence in their lifetimes. Learn the basics of domestic violence, power and control, and how to identify someone who is a victim of domestic violence. Strangulation is the most lethal and insidious form of domestic violence because symptoms and evidence often do not immediately present themselves unless someone is trained to look for them. In this training, participants will learn how to understand the lethality of strangulation and identify the signs and symptoms of strangulation cases, identify the anatomy and medical aspects of domestic violence, sexual assault, surviving and non – surviving victims of strangulation.
