Description

During this course, the student will learn and understand key principles of a pistol mounted MRDS, will discuss proper equipment and maintenance. The student will learn and demonstrate zeroing, proper presentation and tracking the “dot” through recoil. Learn how to develop an MRDS program and courses of fire. Understand the importance of department policy on MRDS, as well as learn techniques for teaching others to effectively use an MRDS equipped pistol. There will be 1 evening of low light (April 14th) Students need to bring: RDS equipped pistol (with functional iron sights); 3 double stack magazines (5 if single stack); Duty rig with duty style holster designed for the specific weapon/ RDS combination; Handheld flashlight (WML are highly encouraged as well); 1000 rounds of ammunition (no steal core); Eye and Ear protection/ clear or amber eye pro for low light; cleaning kit and adjustment tools for your RDS; Range attire, note taking material, sharpies or markers
