LASER – Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response - Direct Delivery

The Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response (LASER) course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to rapidly deploy and neutralize violent offenders during active shooter incidents or mass casualty incidents in order to prevent the loss of innocent lives. Topics covered during the classroom instruction include the evolution of active shooter incidents, providing valuable lessons to law enforcement officers of any experience level regarding response to an active shooter attack. LASER Train-The-Trainer info: Train-the-Trainer (TTT) enables anyone designated by their agency to attend the course, become certified course instructors, and deliver the course to their co-workers and their organization’s employees. Upon request, the NCBRT can provide all necessary instructional materials to certified trainers who want to provide instruction to their organizations. Registration Information: LSU has recently changed the way they conduct the TTT course, and it is not an additional day anymore. If you are interested in becoming a trainer for your agency, you must register for the course as listed above AND email me upon registration at: blake.powers@swosu.edu so I can pass your information along to LSU. There is additional paperwork you must complete prior to the class to become a trainer. Registration Information: • Every participant needs to register for a FEMA SID if you do not already have one.
