PROJECT LEAD

Description

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office Training Division is pleased to offer PROJECT LEAD, a 20-hour leadership development course designed for current and aspiring leaders who are committed to enhancing their leadership knowledge, influence, and effectiveness. This course brings together leadership concepts from law enforcement, the military, private industry, and timeless historical principles to provide students with practical leadership tools that can be applied in any profession. PROJECT LEAD is an interactive leadership course taught by experienced leaders from the law enforcement profession, private business, and the United States military. The curriculum combines proven leadership philosophies and practical applications from some of history's most respected leaders and leadership authors. Students will examine leadership principles drawn from: • Jocko Willink and Leif Babin – Extreme Ownership • General Colin Powell – It Worked for Me • Admiral William H. McRaven – The Wisdom of the Bullfrog • Donald T. Phillips – The Founding Fathers on Leadership • Timeless leadership principles found in other popular text. Throughout the course, students will explore leadership philosophy, decision-making, accountability, communication, team building, servant leadership, organizational culture, and the responsibility of leading with integrity. Practical discussions and real-world examples will demonstrate how successful leaders motivate others, overcome adversity, build trust, and accomplish organizational objectives. Upon completion of this course, students will have gained a broader understanding of proven leadership principles and practical techniques that can be immediately applied within law enforcement, government, private industry, or any professional environment. Whether supervising a team, leading a project, or preparing for future leadership opportunities, participants will leave with a greater understanding of the leadership principles presented and the confidence to become more effective, influential, and purpose-driven leaders. Course Schedule Session 1 • Monday, November 16: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. • Tuesday, November 17: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. • Wednesday, November 18: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Session 2 • Wednesday, November 18: 12:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. • Thursday, November 19: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. • Friday, November 20: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Please note: Both sessions present the same curriculum.
