Open to Law Enforcement and victim service providers. LAP - This training is designed to equip law enforcement officers with a comprehensive understanding of the Oklahoma Lethality Assessment Protocol (LAP) and its application in the field. This foundational context will help officers recognize the importance of early intervention and coordinated response. It will also explore the evidence-based research that supports LAP as an effective tool for increasing victim safety and preventing intimate partner homicides. Officers will be introduced to the statutory authority underpinning the LAP in Oklahoma, as well as the best operational practices for administering the protocol during IPV-related calls for service.
