Presented by OSBI - This course provides the student with information on how cellular records can be used in criminal investigations. Using a set of cellular records, students will learn about legal requirements to obtain cellular records with location data, and then methods to understand and use location data received from cellular companies. This course focuses heavily on AT&T records since those records are generally received in a format that is unusable for most investigators. | Requirements: A computer or electronic able to receive a thumb drive with cellular records. Email can be used in necessary. The ability to charge or power those devices for each student. A mouse or other tool to navigate a large number or lines in Excel. Excel or similar program; Google Earth Pro (recommended) This program is free from Google but may require approval from an agencies I.T. department.
