2025 OSBI Sexual Assault Awareness Symposium
This event has passed.
Description
Please Join us for the first annual OSBI Sexual Assault Awareness Month Symposium. The OSBI Sexual Assault unit, in partnership with Northeastern State University (BA Campus), will be hosting this event on April 11, 2025. Registered attendees will hear from two nationally recognized speakers, who will deliver expert level information on the Neurobiology of Trauma and Problematic Sexual Behavior of Youth. Attendees will hear the story of Linda Terrell and her journey from a victim of rape to advocacy. Linda has spent her life as a champion of victim rights and services. Along with these dynamic and informative speakers, numerous community agency information and resource booths will be staffed onsite and available at no cost to all attendees. The information booths offer information and resources for victims of sexual assault, professionals, and members of the general public to ask questions, receive any handouts or pamphlets available, and be familiar with resources in the community.
The OSBI is proud to announce that we have partnered with HARUV USA and Marsy’s Law Oklahoma as sponsors for the Symposium and are very excited that News on 6 Anchor and Victim Advocate Lori Fulbright will be the emcee for the event.
This event is open to the public and all interested community members, law enforcement, and public service agencies are encouraged to attend at no cost. 8 hours of CLEET credit are offered for this event. Please see the attached flyer for the symposium registration link. Alaunna Raffield Fund: Scholarships available for Lodging and expenses.
