This course is designed to train safe, effective, and confident K9 decoys for patrol apprehension training. Training topics includes: Proper body mechanics and movement; Bite presentation and targeting Out commands and transitions; Reading canine behavior; Building and scenario-based decoy work; Injury prevention and safety. Who Should Attend: Law enforcement officers; K9 decoys (new or experienced); Prospective handlers and trainers. Participants must Bring: Bite suit; Bite sleeves (trail and/or hidden recommended); Sturdy boots and training clothing. *note*: This is a physically demanding course. Safety inspections of gear will be completed before any decoy work is done.
