Confidential Informant Management
Description
Confidential informants play a crucial role in investigations ranging from street-level narcotics to complex stolen property operations and murder conspiracies. However, poorly managed informant programs have contributed to numerous cases of corruption and misconduct. This course offers essential training on the ethical and effective management of informants, including policy development, documentation, operational planning, and post-incident procedures. Instruction will be provided by Brandon Lane of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI). Course is open only to current certified law enforcement officers.
