G.R.A.C.I.E. (Gracie Retention and Control for Immediate Enforcement) is the defensive tactics and weapons retention course created by the legendary Royce Gracie, 3-time Ultimate Fighting Champion. Royce earned his title by defeating his opponents using Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, proving the effectiveness of leverage and technique over strength and size. Royce has incorporated these defensive tactics techniques into a comprehensive training course specifically designed for law enforcement. Like many skills, defensive tactics are perishable; therefore the G.R.A.C.I.E. program is the “only” defensive tactics program that will help officers on how to effectively defend their weapons in all altercations. Topics that will be covered:
• Distance management
• Positional control
• Defending common attacks
• Takedowns
• Weapon retention
• Many more
The G.R.A.C.I.E. course is a week-long course designed for G.R.A.C.I.E law enforcement instructor and instructor recertification. The course is 5 consecutive days, Monday-Friday. At the end of the course, instructors must be able to demonstrate and teach the moves to receive certification. Re-certification is a 2-day condensed course.
