Description
This course provides introductory-level education into detention, jail, and correctional investigations. Open to all Sheriff’s Office staff, this 2-day course will provide students with a working knowledge of the steps needed for detention-based investigations and additional information that would assist investigators assigned to detention centers/jails/prisons in the state of Oklahoma. This course will include information concerning the importance of intelligence gathering, gang identification, the cultivation of informants and the importance of information sharing. Bringing a laptop, tablet, or other portable computer is highly recommended for this course.
