Key Responsibilities
*Maintain a safe and secure learning environment for all students, staff, and visitors.

*Serve as the primary law enforcement liaison between Velma-Alma Public Schools and local law enforcement agencies.

*Build positive relationships with students through daily interaction, mentorship, and visibility on campus.

*Assist administrators with investigations involving student misconduct, threats, criminal activity, and safety concerns.

*Help develop and implement school safety plans, emergency procedures, and crisis response protocols.

*Provide security presence at school events, extracurricular activities, and special programs as needed.

*Monitor campus grounds and facilities to identify and address safety concerns.

*Conduct safety and security training for staff and students.

*Participate in threat assessment teams and assist with emergency drills.

*Serve as a resource for students, parents, and staff regarding safety, legal issues, and conflict resolution.

*Prepare reports and maintain records related to incidents occurring on school property.

*Work collaboratively with administrators, counselors, teachers, and community partners to support student success.

40,000-45000 (Based upon Experience)
