key Responsibilities
• Working under the direct supervision of the CID Lieutenant
• Actively participating in a wide range of criminal investigations
• Collaborating with other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies
• Carrying a Sheriff’s Office-issued cell phone and being available to answer calls 24/7
• Completing a mandatory 90-day “on-call” period before entering the regular on-call rotation
• Collect evidence: Gather physical, forensic, and digital evidence from crime scenes.
• Interview and interrogate: Interview witnesses, informants, and suspects to gather crucial information.
• Analyze information: Examine records, run background checks, and use critical thinking to analyze facts and identify criminal patterns.
• Apprehend suspects: Participate in raids, make arrests, and assist in bringing criminals to justice.
• Prepare for court: Write detailed reports, maintain records, and provide expert testimony in court.
