Minimum Requirements
Minimum of five (5) years of law enforcement experience and two (2) years of law enforcement supervisory experience. Must possess Oklahoma CLEET officer certification or complete certification within six (6) months of employment. Must complete CLEET Police Chief administration training and an OACP-approved Police Chief administrative school within required timeframes. Must meet and maintain all Oklahoma Police Officer and Chief of Police certification requirements. Must pass post-offer drug screening, criminal background investigation, psychological and polygraph examinations, and MVR check. Must possess an Oklahoma driver's license or obtain one within six (6) months. Must meet the Town's residency and Cooper Standard physical assessment requirements. A bachelor's degree in management or a law-enforcement-related field is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide executive leadership, direction, and strategic planning for all Police Department operations and services. Oversee daily operations, personnel, programs, budgets, records, evidence, equipment, training, and departmental policies. Ensure enforcement of laws and ordinances and protection of public peace and safety. Establish performance expectations, supervise and evaluate personnel, coordinate emergency and mutual-aid responses, maintain relationships with local, county, state, tribal, and federal public-safety partners, respond to citizen and media inquiries, and provide regular operational reports to the Town Administrator.
Salary/ Compensation
$60,000-$90,000, depending on qualifications
