Minimum Requirements
1) At least 21 years old
2) Able to pass background check
3) Clean Driving Record
4) US Citizen
5) High school diploma or GED
6) Be able to work in a small community
7) Must not have a felony, a crime involving moral turpitude or a crime of domestic violence
8) Must be able to obtain CLEET certification (If not currently certified)
9) Reside within the City of Medford or willing to relocate if selected for the position
Key Responsibilities
• Patrol within the city limits as well as outlying city owned property
• Enforce federal laws, state statutes and city ordinances
• Deter criminal activity
• Issue traffic and parking citations and warnings
• Serve arrest warrants issued by municipal, district or federal courts
• Funeral escorts
• Traffic control for parades, other special events, fires and other emergencies
• Investigate traffic collisions
• Investigate crimes & develop cases
• Provide referrals to resources for non-criminal matters
• Provide First-aid to injured persons while awaiting EMS
• Motorist assistance
• Written reports – daily activity, information, monthly, case files
