Minimum Requirements
All persons seeking employment with the Creek County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy must:
a. Be a United States citizen;
b. Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age;
c. Possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license;
d. Have a high school diploma or GED;
e. Successfully completed or be able to complete the minimum training required for certification to include the C.L.E.E.T. basic academy and the Creek County Sheriff’s Office field training program;
f. Never have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude or is not currently under indictment for any criminal offense;
g. Have no previous convictions within the last seven (7) years or current charges of driving while intoxicated or driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol;
h. Never been convicted of any crime of domestic battery;
i. Not be prohibited by state of federal law from operating a motor vehicle;
j. Not be prohibited by state or federal law from possessing firearms or ammunition;
k. Successfully complete a thorough background investigation and personal interviews by the Creek County Sheriff’s Office personnel;
l. Never had a commission or peace officer license denied by final order or revoked;
Also, individuals applying for a position as a deputy must demonstrate the ability to perform physical tasks under stressful and often confusing circumstances. At time of application, applicants may be required to demonstrate these abilities without assistance.
Key Responsibilities
Sheriff's patrol deputies are responsible for enforcing state and local laws, providing 24/7 law enforcement in unincorporated county areas, and responding to emergency calls. Key duties include proactive patrolling, conducting investigations, serving civil papers, and maintaining public safety.

Starting salary is $50,000
