| Minimum Requirements |
| All persons seeking employment with the Creek County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy must: a. Be a United States citizen; b. Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age; c. Possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license; d. Have a high school diploma or GED; e. Successfully completed or be able to complete the minimum training required for certification to include the C.L.E.E.T. basic academy and the Creek County Sheriff’s Office field training program; f. Never have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude or is not currently under indictment for any criminal offense; g. Have no previous convictions within the last seven (7) years or current charges of driving while intoxicated or driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol; h. Never been convicted of any crime of domestic battery; i. Not be prohibited by state of federal law from operating a motor vehicle; j. Not be prohibited by state or federal law from possessing firearms or ammunition; k. Successfully complete a thorough background investigation and personal interviews by the Creek County Sheriff’s Office personnel; l. Never had a commission or peace officer license denied by final order or revoked; Also, individuals applying for a position as a deputy must demonstrate the ability to perform physical tasks under stressful and often confusing circumstances. At time of application, applicants may be required to demonstrate these abilities without assistance. |

Key duties include proactive patrolling, conducting investigations, serving civil papers, and maintaining public safety. |
