CLEET CERTIFIED AS A FULL-TIME PEACE OFFICER. POSSESS COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP SKILLS.
Key Responsibilities
Patrol assigned areas of Osage County to protect life and property, preserve peace, uphold the Constitution, and enforce state laws. Respond to calls for service, investigate criminal incidents, make lawful arrests, serve warrants and legal processes, prepare reports, collect and preserve evidence, testify in court, and assist other emergency response agencies. Maintain a proactive patrol presence through community engagement and crime prevention; operate department equipment safely; uphold the constitutional rights of all individuals; and perform all duties in accordance with Sheriff's Office policies, Oklahoma law, and CLEET standards, while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, and public service. As an Osage County Deputy Sheriff, you will enjoy the jurisdiction of over 2300 sq miles of the largest county in Oklahoma. This position also involves working some evenings, weekends, and holiday assignments.
Salary/Compensation (if available)
Starting salary: $42,000 yearly, $3,500 per month
