Minimum Requirements:
• CLEET certification is preferred; however, applicants who are not certified will still be considered.
• Must be between the ages of 21 and 45, unless currently participating in the Oklahoma Police Pension System.
• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation.
• Must be able to pass a medical exam and drug screening.
• Must be able to pass the MMPI (psychological evaluation).
• Must not have used any illicit drugs within the last five (5) years.
• Must not have been convicted of domestic abuse under state or federal law.
• Must not be currently listed as a defendant on any Emergency Protective Order (EPO), Protective Order (PO), or Final Order of Protection.
• Must not have any felony convictions, nor be participating in a deferred‑sentence agreement for a felony or any crime involving moral turpitude.
• Must be available to work any shift (nights, weekends, and holidays) and special events as needed.
Key Responsibilities • Operate a motor vehicle for routine patrol assignments and responding to the needs of the community
• Enforce state and federal laws and City ordinances
• Make arrests on criminal and traffic related offenses
• Performs other duties as assigned, which include but are not limited to: investigation of crime scenes, preservation and collection of evidence, preparation of handwritten and typed reports, oral testimony in courts of law, investigation of traffic accidents, etc.
Salary/Compensation (if available) • Starting pay $19.00 per hour for certified. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, pay increases to $20.00 per hour.
• Starting pay $18.00 per hour for uncertified.
