Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be a citizen of the United States
Must have a High School diploma or GED
Must have a valid driver's license
Must have a good driving record
Must be able to PASS a background check
Must be C.L.E.E.T. certified
Must have NO felony convictions
Must have NO domestic violence convictions
Must have NO active protective orders
Must have NO convictions for crimes of moral turpitude
Must have or be able to take and pass MMPI
Must have or be able to take and pass the Posse Exam
Must be honest and have high moral character and ethics
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Key Responsibilities
Patrol assigned areas to deter crime and ensure public safety
Enforce state and local laws, including traffic and criminal laws
Respond to emergency calls such as accidents, disturbances, and thefts
Make arrests and issue citations when necessary
Conduct preliminary investigations at crime scenes
Collect evidence and interview witnesses
Write clear and accurate reports
Assist with ongoing investigations
