Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age and a U.S. Citizen
High school diploma or equivalent (additional education/training preferred)
CLEET Certification preferred; if not certified, certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
Valid Oklahoma driver’s license with a good driving record
Excellent physical condition
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to pass a thorough background investigation
Must have or be able to pass the MMPI
Must have or be able to pass the POSSE Exam
No felony convictions
No domestic violence convictions
Good moral character
Key Responsibilities
Patrol assigned areas to deter crime and ensure public safety.
Enforce state, tribal and local laws, including traffic and criminal laws.
Respond to emergency calls such as accidents, disturbances, and thefts, and assisting with medical calls. 
Make arrests and transport arrestee to the county jail. 
Issue citations when necessary.
Collect evidence and interview witnesses.
Write clear and accurate reports.
Assist with ongoing investigations, including agency assist cases.
