Minimum Requirements
• Be at least 21-45 years of age and U.S. Citizen
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
• Pass Background Check, Drug Screen, MMPI Exam and OPPRS Physical.
• No Felony Convictions
• No Domestic Violence convictions
• No convictions for crimes of moral turpitude
• Full-time CLEET Certification preferred
• Must be available any shift (nights, weekends, and holidays) as needed
• High ethical & moral character a must
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Patrols assigned areas of the city, checking buildings and residences for suspicious activity to deter crime and to protect lives and property of the citizens.
• Enforces city ordinances, state statutes and Federal laws.
• Investigate traffic accidents and crime scenes; make oral or written reports, testify in court.
• Make arrests on criminal and traffic related offenses as well as perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain accurate activity logs; write & submit comprehensive and detailed reports.
Salary/ Compensation
Starting pay $41,000/yr for certified and increases after probationary period
