The Canadian County Sheriff’s Office provides comprehensive law enforcement services to the citizens of Canadian County. Deputies may be assigned to various divisions based on the needs of the agency, including Patrol, Civil, School Resource, Juvenile Investigations, Court Liaison, and Criminal Investigations.

Minimum Requirements
Be willing to complete up to 14-week Field Training Program; 
Be 21-years old;
Be legally authorized to work in the United States;
Have a high school diploma or GED;
Pass a written exam;
Successfully pass a drug screening examination;
Take the MMPI psychological examination prior to being commissioned;
Meet the standards of the Canadian County Sheriff's Office weapon proficiency;
Pass a thorough background check; and
Meet identity requirements as required by law.
Key Responsibilities
Deputies of the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office will receive the training, equipment, and support necessary to meet the operational demands of the agency. All Deputies are expected to:

Adhere to Sheriff’s Office policies, rules, regulations, and standard operating procedures
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal laws
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity

Starting Salary for a Step 1 Deputy Sheriff in 2025 is $57,879.00/year plus benefits. Benefits include:
